Meet our Corporate Medical Director, Marilyn Bishop, MD
Dr. Bishop is a certified Medical Review Officer at the Johnson City, Tenn., office of MedWorks. She is a certified medical review officer and an FAA airman examiner, and is certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine, with a subspecialty in occupational medicine. She is a member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Dr. Bishop received her medical degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada, and completed her residency at Good Samaritan Hospital, Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio. She holds a Masters of Public Health degree from East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, Tenn.
Our expert team consists of occupational health physicians, specially trained nurses and technicians. Our certifications include urine drug screen collection, breath alcohol testing and the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation. We follow an aggressive return-to-work philosophy and provide immediate worker injury evaluation and management along with prompt communication to employers. We believe protecting employee health with programs designed to facilitate employee safety, prevent injury and promote wellness are of critical importance. MedWorks partners with businesses to facilitate work-related healthcare needs.
