Blue Ridge Medical Management Corporation

BRMMC is a wholly-owned, for-profit subsidiary of Mountain States Health Alliance (MSHA).  

BRMMC owns and manages approximately 107 physician practice sites throughout the Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia service area through its integrated physician organization, Mountain States Medical Group (MSMG).  MSMG includes approximately 200 physicians and 115 mid-level providers with practices consisting of primary care, multi-specialty, occupational health and urgent care.  

Other business units of BRMMC include Mountain State Properties, a real estate division which owns and manages almost one million square feet of medical office space; HealthPro Staffing a staffing agency formed to provide staffing solutions to the MSHA facilities and other healthcare organizations in the region; Mediserve Medical Equipment Company, a durable medical equipment and respiratory services company with three locations in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia; Mountain States Pharmacy, a retail pharmacy with five locations in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia; The Wellness Center, a health and fitness center with two locations in Northeast Tennessee.  

BRMMC also has ownership and/or investment in a number of joint ventures including; Quillen Rehabilitation Hospital of Johnson City, Tennessee; Synergy Health Group; and numerous ambulatory surgery centers: Mountain Empire Surgery Center, Johnson City Eye Surgery Center, East Tennessee Ambulatory Surgery Center, and TLC Tri-Cities Laser Center, all in Johnson City, Tennessee and Kingsport Day Surgery located in Kingsport, Tennessee.  

In addition, BRMMC also provides, physician practice management services which can include assistance with one or more of the following, depending upon the client’s need; practice acquisition, management services, financial/operational analysis, market development, provider recruitment, revenue cycle, coding education, new practice start-up, credentialing and strategic planning.
